Santa Clara Mission Wedding – Julie and Nghiem Wedding Video Highlight

We had the great honor of being able to shoot the wedding for Julie and Nghiem who were referred to us by Jeannie and Tommy. Because we had a great time at that wedding, we know we had to make ourselves available for Julie and Nghiem. From the first day we met them, you can see how much they cared for each other and how much they cared for not only their celebration, but the folks that celebrated with them.

After culling through all the footage of the day, we reflected on all the moments that Julie shared with her bridesmaids and Nghiem with his groomsmen. We found ourselves sharing in the emotion of the day from the speeches, getting ready, first look, and during all the interactions between Julie and Nghiem.

Saratoga Mountain Winery Wedding Hightlight: Ashley and Robert

It is rare to have the opportunity to be part of a wedding that means so much to us. It was all hands on deck for Ashley and Robert’s wedding as one of our own is her older brother and was also involved in the wedding party. The day was very heartfelt, reminding us of our own wedding days (wow, I can say that now that most of the Visia team members are now married!), and all that went behind them. Since we were all related in some way to Ashley, Robert, and their families, we were able to get an intimate look into the wedding – from planning, preparation, and rehearsal. It was hard not to be somewhat emotional to see close friends and family celebrating in this intimate event. It was often that guests would stop by and say hi while we were shooting to make us feel very much part of the celebration.

Beautiful wedding Ashley and Robert! From the rich color selection (deep red/black), the candles, the flowers, cake, and the natural look of the venue all tied together to make an elegant wedding.

We also had the opportunity to work again with Jira and team from WOWPRETTY and Cary and team from Petals by Cary. Abe from Denon and Doyle kept the night rockin’ from the DJ booth. Jen’s Cakes treated everyone with the delicious cake.

Downtown San Jose Engagement Session: Teresa + Jing

It started with a few messages and some e-mails online. Teresa and Jing realized they had so much in common and just had to meet. After hitting it off on their first date, it would be months before they could meet again — Teresa left for vacation for several weeks and right as she returned, it was Jing’s turn to travel. But even with their busy travel schedules, they often thought of one another.
The beginning of their courtship showed how much they loved to see and travel the world. Now that they will be sharing their lives together, they discover new places by each others side.

San Jose Fairmont Wedding Highlight – Preethi and Shawn

It was a great honor to be asked to cover the wedding for Preethi and Shawn. I have known Preethi’s older brother (many cameos in this video =D) for about 20 years and to have the opportunity to share in this special event was special for us. It was great to be among familiar faces as we covered the events, from the bridal party prep at the childhood household where we hung out as friends, to the beautiful Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph in San Jose, and finally ending up at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel.

The day was non-stop with a great mix of cultural events and traditions, to the laughing and joking, singing, and of course the evening celebration of dining and dancing.

Thank you again Preethi and Shawn for inviting us to be part of your special day. Enjoy!

DoubleTree, Berkeley Wedding // Ina + Dominic

Let’s just start out with this. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, working with fun-loving people. Thank goodness these two found us. Ina and Dominic are two people you really want to have in your life. Each one of them have impacted their friends and family so much that hardly anyone could contain their emotions. They are both carefree and know how to have fun when the time calls. They know how to make their friends laugh and know when to offer up a shoulder to lean on. Many of their friends have been their friends for a long time. Why? Because Ina and Dominic are committed to their friendships, their family, and to each other. It was touching to see how much impact Dominic had on his two brothers and how much Ina meant to her cousin. The best bond and friendship of all of course, was between the two of them. They (and every one of their friends) had waited a long, long, long, loooooong, time for this and finally it has happened! Ina and Dominic gets married and the rest is beautiful history. Take a look at their awesome day and see how Ina and Dominic represented the SF Giants!!

Mexico Engagement Session: Herman + Ena

Nearly a year ago, Christina and I had the absolute pleasure of watching (and photographing) two of our dearest friends, Herman and Ena, become engaged. Although the weather that day turned out to be a cold, foggy, and windy afternoon near the beach in Half Moon Bay, luckily for their engagement session, it was quite the opposite! While we all were attending an unforgettable destination wedding in Tulum, Mexico, Christina and I took the opportunity to shoot Herman and Ena’s engagement session at an one-of-a-kind location: a private, secluded beach house! Herman had planned out the accommodations for this trip and I’ll be hard pressed to stay at a nicer place than this.

Thanks Herman & Ena for planning such an unforgettable trip. We’re so glad to have had a chance to shoot at the house and we can’t wait for your wedding!

San Jose Wedding Highlight: Tammy+Dinh

Tammy and Dinh’s wedding was quite the party! Having been together for over 10 years, the couple was ready to celebrate. There were plenty to film on that beautiful October day…two tea ceremonies, portraits in the park, hearth warming speeches, and dancing…lots and lots of dancing!

The day started with a traditional tea ceremony at Tammy’s family’s house and followed with another at Dinh’s parent’s place where their close family and friends offered gifts, advice, and well wishes for the couple.

The reception followed at the Dynasty in San Jose where the guests are welcomed with beautifully decorated hall. The guests also enjoyed the best food Dynasty had to offer, a photo booth, and a candy/dessert bar for the sweet tooth. Great dance jams were plenty and Tammy, Dinh along with their guests definitely showed everyone how to groove on the dance floor. It was a lot of fun.

Congrats Tammy and Dinh! Thank you for letting us film your special day!

W Hotel, San Francisco Wedding // Lilan + Binh

How many couples sneak kisses at BR (Banana Republic)? Binh and Lilan does and their marriage will go far. How do we know that? Well, we simply quoted their Maid of Honor, Trinh. As Trinh went into Tupac mode, rapping to the tune of “Life Goes On”, everyone in the room exploded with cheers and roars as they knew what she was rapping about. She laid out all the inside jokes, the subtle stories of how Lilan and Binh came to be, and her appreciation for their friendship. But let’s not forget the Best Man as well as he reminisced on their partying days and…yeah partying days

Lilan and Binh’s wedding was incredibly fun and spontaneous. One, they say what’s on their mind. Two, there were some things that I couldn’t film. Conclusion? There was a LOT of editing. In any case, the best part about their wedding day was that they didn’t restrict themselves. They had as much fun as possible and took advantage of any opportunity for getting loose. They were extremely fun to film and was down for anything during their wedding day. That’s exactly how we like it.

Thank you Lilan and Binh for caring for us during your special day. You made sure we had food in our stomachs and even offered us some “drinks” (although that would have provided some very shaky footage). We felt the love that you guys share with each other and we’re grateful to have been a part of it.

Benicia Wedding, Jefferson Street Mansion: Maria + Chris

When Chris asked Maria out for their first date, it wasn’t to go out to dinner or a movie, nor to go for a stroll in the park. Chris had asked Maria to go to a NASCAR race. Although this seemed a little bold to others, Maria graciously said yes, and they both had a good time at the race. So, when Chris asked Maria to go duck hunting at 4 am for their second date, everyone thought he was crazy. Needless to say, Maria said yes and once again they had a good time together. So when Chris asked Maria to get married, it was no question that Maria would say yes…and she did!

Whether it be duck hunting, NASCAR or just hanging out, they always enjoy each others company. They like to laugh, have fun, and be with the company of their close family and friends. Their outgoing personalities carried on during their wedding day as evident to the good times they were having at the beautiful Jefferson Street Mansion in Benicia. The guests were treated to a beautifully decorated venue while the DJ kept the music flowing as everyone danced the night away. It was such a treat to film everyone having a blast!

Mountain Winery, Saratoga Wedding : Ashley + Robert

With two drinks in hand, Robert sat outside at a small table outside Starbucks and waited. Peeking at his watch a few times in anticipation. Ashley didn’t realize how far down the street she was from that coffee shop that they agreed to meet at. But as she approached him from the distance, she knew it was him. He was wearing exactly what he described he would be wearing, and was even thoughtful enough to have her favorite drink waiting for her when she arrived. The date that started out with a soy latte, and 16 hours later ended with dinner. Talk about hitting it off!

It wasn’t long after that Ashley and Robert’s friends and family noticed their glow. That something had changed in them after that first date. They then couldn’t resist talking about one another and that’s when everyone knew that they had found their match.

Ashley and Robert celebrated their nuptials at the gorgeous Mountain Winery, overlooking the beautiful, rolling hills of Saratoga. This was another wedding where we had the pleasure of working with some familiar and awesome vendors, including Jira at Wow Pretty and Cary from Petals by Cary.
